The LCR Honda CASTROL rider produced an outstanding ride at Portimao last time out and will look to maintain his momentum back on home soil this weekend. The Spaniard was amongst the pacesetters throughout in Portugal and underlined his potential in the premier class by taking a superb fourth place having occupied a podium position for much of the race. With a capacity home crowd to cheer him on, Alex cannot wait to get back out on track at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.Álex Márquez“It’s the Valencia GP, a home GP and the last GP of the year, which is always a special day. Last year we finished in Portimao, but this year in Valencia all the grandstands will be full which will be a really nice feeling, I’m sure it will be really special to see one of our home GPs full again. I’m really looking forward to it after P4 in Portimao and a really good performance there. I’m looking forward to being back on the bike and enjoying it with the team. As I said, we had a really good weekend, but we need to keep working and building our confidence a little bit more. Ok, I love Portimao, but Valencia is not one of my favourite tracks, so, it will be important to keep the same mentality and have the same level. The pace throughout the whole weekend, qualifying, we need all that to be there like it was in Portimao to finish the season in a good way and set us up for 2022.” |
